We are all in the service business.

Small local retailers can begin to do better if they begin to realize that the only thing they truly have to sell is service. The Big Box Store can sell whatever it is cheaper, but the small local store can help the customer make a better purchase, know more about it and utilize it for the desired purpose–maybe even pursuade the customer something else would better serve.

The customer is not always right, but the customer is always the customer.
