Our Friend Zane Safrit has the answer, quoting from Alexander Kjerulf, Chief Happiness Officer:
If you want to get more done at work, the productivity gurus out there will tell you that it’s all about having the right system. You need to prioritize your tasks, you must keep detailed logs of how you spend your time, todo-lists are of course essential, you must learn to structure your calendar and much, much more.
But that’s not where you should start. You should start by liking what you do.
Becky started Small Biz Survival in 2006 to share rural business and community building stories and ideas with other small town business people. She and her husband have a small cattle ranch and are lifelong entrepreneurs. Becky is an international speaker on small business and rural topics.
It also isn’t about getting more done, it is about getting the right things done. I heard it once explained this way: “It doesn’t really mater how fast you are going, if you are going in the wrong direction you will never get to your destination.”
Great point, Owen! Lots of motion can also be marching in place. Thanks for sharing.
