Find your good news for the Brag Basket

“Despite the seemingly bad news, people still have lots of stuff to brag about.”
Marco Terry, in the Brag Basket, Dec. 5.

Each week, I open the Brag Basket. It’s designed as a fun place for you to share your projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.

The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether from a small town, a big city, or anywhere in the world. (But it’s true that I love small town brags! Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission, and you don’t have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

  1. I’m proud that I had enough self-respect and knowledge to quit a job after two days that was totally wrong for me and that I didn’t delude either myself or the employer just for the money.

  2. It scared me a lot to do it, and it still may kinda tank, but I got up the gumption to ask Twitter for a heart’s desire – something I passionately wish for.

@wellwishes is what I am calling it. I ask, can we raise $2 from 12,500 people on Twitter to fund an entire clean water wells project in Africa? http://bit.ly/give_water

What good is all the fuss and visibility of “having a lot of followers” if I don’t try to use it to help others?

Thanks for the bragging space and encouragement Becky.

  3. Becky, I just found your blog and want to thank you and give you a well-deserved pat on the back for the great idea. Even in a small big town like Portland, Oregon, the kind of content you provide is needed, both for marketers/bloggers like myself and for our clients.
