Time to share the good news

Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing. I started this so you can introduce yourself, share some good news, or congratulate a friend.

The basket is open all weekend, from August 6-8, 2010.

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post, email me, tweet me, or comment on Facebook. You tell something great about your week, or you give applause to someone who did good stuff this week. Or you celebrate something wonderful that you tried that failed.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. Proud of my offspring Mitali’s 1st blog post on business blog @kikscore “Greetings from the Summer Planet! http://bit.ly/cGKUvo

She is not on Twitter though although she probably does not realize that it could be the fastest way to get in touch with her dad :)

  2. After more than 3 years on Twitter, my latest blog post about Twitter recommending dead friends in their new “who to follow” feature has gotten their attention. Twitter staff are notorious for not mixing with the unwashed masses, so to have one of them respond to me positively AND pass my post on to the team dealing with the topic, well…it just made my day. #TwitterFanGirl #Dork

  3. Half-brag, half-heads-up for you, Becky & Sheila. I’m resuming (for keeps this time!) my niche website about the 17th-century Dutch colony in North America and its repercussions on the modern day. (I can’t get it out of my bloodstream, and the only way out of it is through it!) An aspect of this will be helping build tourism among historical sites in east NY, west CT, NJ, DE, east PA. Some time soon, once I know what kind of questions to ask, I may pick your brains.
