Share in the Brag Basket

Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing. I started this so you can introduce yourself, share some good news, or congratulate a friend.

The basket is open all weekend, from October 8-10, 2010.

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post, email me, tweet me, or comment on Facebook. You tell something great about your week, or you give applause to someone who did good stuff this week. Or you celebrate something wonderful that you tried that failed.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. I would love to mention the achievements that a fellow co-worker helped our office to achieve. He does not like bragging about himself so I will do it for him. Mike Bersabal, our E-commerce and marketing manager for Visit Pensacola, has worked long, crazy hours and days assisting on our new website design which won an award for Outstanding Web site from the Web Marketing Association. Simultaneously, in the middle of the “Gulf Coast Crisis,” he was assisting to launch new social media initiatives which led to his being invited to present at the world’s largest social media conference, the Blog World Expo, Oct. 14-16 in Las Vegas. So, congratulations to Mike and to all the back office guys who work for all our companies!

  2. Just wanted to check in again and let you know that you know that you continue to inspire folks across the country. The content you provide has a ripple effect as other social media innovators build on and further develop ideas and concepts you write about on your blogs.

We continue to push forward with many successes in our efforts to build communities in Westchester, NY (that’s my brag). Know that my peers and I will continue to look to your websites for inspiration.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.
