Share some sunshine in the Brag Basket

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one March 8-11, 2013. What good news will you add to the brag basket?

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. Yo! Becky and all at Small Biz world –
I am simply bragging about the fact that I am here, with you, today…been going through my blog and being amazed at the riches, came upon your comment Becky on Mary McEvilly’s voice reaching us from the 1920s in Paris and you wondering who might be hearing our voices a century from now. The old stock phrase applies: “You never know!” We might, us humans, be pleased to see our names up in lights, or to garner the results of a “most viewed” post, or to read a good review of our work, but when you come right down to it, it is the love that we give that is our accomplishment and our reward at once…so I have begun once again to write without regard to whether anyone signs on board, just to sail the seas, knowing that I am going somewhere, and that as I speak my words into the waves, some answering voice will respond, even if it is centuries hence.
I am always grateful that you have this basket here for us…and I thank you very much for maintaing it.
    Wayne
