The Brag Basket is traveling the world to celebrate all the places you, the people who read Small Biz Survival, come from. This time, we’re celebrating our readers in the Netherlands.

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one August 16-18, 2013. What good news will you add to the brag basket?

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) If you talk more about the people involved than thethings, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. Hi Becky, thank you for bringing the brag basket to the Netherlands. You must know that bragging is very un-Dutch. We love average ;)

Happy with last week. As a family we spend a week in a small town in Germany. Did some swimming, visited some towns. My wife was happy at the factory outlet and museum of Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach. The kids were happy swimming. I enjoyed the family and some reading. It was a great week. A few days away from the office. No wifi, no internet via mobile. No connection and distraction.

And say hello to my good friends in the Netherlands, like:
    Pieter van Osch
    Monique Bolung
    Stephanie Ward
    Kitty Kilian
    Lianne Ebbinkhuijssen
    Hennie Tibben
    Brigitte van Tuijl
    Laura Babeliowsky

    1. Erno, the Dutch people I know are quite remarkable, not average! (Or the Dutch average must be pretty high!) Glad you enjoyed your family time. And thanks for bringing along your friends.

  2. Hi!
I’m Sylvia and I am very proud that I decided at the beginning of this week to blog every day for 100 days to challenge myself. I did it every day so I applaud for myself.
I would like to congratulate you and all the people online who are doing the best they can to be a supported person. I failed sometimes to be a great support to myself and thought that someone else needed to pick me up. Glad that I could see myself in the mirror and had a good laugh and love ;)
