The Brag Basket is open! This one is for April 11-13, 2014

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

How do you join in?

  • Below this post is the comment section. Add your brag there.
  • If you are reading this by email, just reply to the email with your brag. I’ll add it to the comments.

Don’t like to brag? Just share some good news for yourself or a friend.

Do you have to be from a small town? Well, no, not really. Just don’t make it an ad. I delete the ads that people stick in here. If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

  1. This brag goes out to James Longwell. This is a brag on a tough 32 year old, my youngest son. I watched my son go from a week of nothing working, after an emergency neck surgery to prevent quadriplegia, to watching him walk, feed himself and dig in to take advantage of his spinal rehab therapy in house stay. I have seen him go from down and too scared to even move on Monday, to laughing and talking about how he can continue to improve after going home. Life tossed him down a steep hill and he climbed out of the deep hole and is looking how to best get back up on the road! All the while still talking about how he, as a patron/investor can take my art business to the next level.

    1. Tim, wow! What a powerful story! Thank you for sharing, and a round of applause to James! You never know what the next road will be, but you have to keep moving.

  2. This should be something to brag about :))

“April 10, Local hospital Koningin Beatrix (@skbwinterswijk) was named the Best Social Media Business from the Achterhoek.
    Erno Hannink is No.2 for 2014! (@ernohannink)
    Yeay!
This was a research of 120 businesses in our area, and this one man business was No.2 between all these big companies.
    No.3 was De Graafschap.” (@degraafschap)
