The rural small business blog. We talk about small town business, with how-to articles, especially on social media marketing and making your community a better place. We use this “author” for announcements and other things you’ll want to know.
Marian sent this story of rural people working together:
“I would like to join in your conversations. I am from the Village of Gagetown, New Brunswick. Last July I bought a B and B here called Lang House and we are becoming increasingly aware of the need for everyone, village merchants, agriculturalists and crafts people to have a singular voice in government. For the past several years there has been an ongoing battle over keeping our ferry. Without it businesses on both sides of the St. John River at Gagetown/Jemseg suffer. At least 300 local residents attended a rally on the Provincial Legislature.
Tonight we are meeting over a covered-dish dinner and auction at the Legion to raise funds to fund further action. If anyone is interested in our progress, let me know. MarianLanghus@gmail.com”
Good job to the people of Gagetown, Jemseg and the area!

Wondering what is and is not allowed in the comments? Or how to get a nifty photo beside your name? Check our commenting policy. Use your real name, not a business name.
Don’t see the comment form? Comments are automatically closed on older posts, but you can send me your comment via this contact form and I’ll add it manually for you. Thanks!
Howdy!
