The Brag Basket is open! This one is for November 16-18, 2018. Bring your good news, big or small, to share with everyone.

What can you share in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • celebrate progress, even baby steps
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

Don’t like to brag? Just share some good news for someone you’re happy for. It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

How do you join in?

  1. Hi I am Denise, I moved into a small Georgia rural city/town 1 yr ago. Upcycling a two drawer chest I opened the first Free Library in our community. (the nearest county library is about 20 miles away). I joined the Woman’s club -to Gather my crowd they are upcycling the former fire station into our First Real City Library! They are very Active without them there would be No community events.

My next goal is to gather their emotional support to open A Riverwalk Café offering shelves, and window space for Locals to show and sell their arts, crafts, and locally produced goods. There are many empty buildings downtown, they have been empty for so long I have to research to find the owners to contact them about renting space..Won’t they be surprised that someone is interested in starting to rebrand our Down town

  2. Wow, Denise! Those are such terrific projects! I love that you started tiny, with a little free library, and then built from there. That cafe with space for locals to sell their goods is excellent!
