A fresh Brag Basket is ready!

brag basketEach Friday, I open the brag basket as a fun place to give someone a pat on the back, brag, or promote yourself and your projects.

Tony Katz explained why this matters:

It’s ok to have success, it’s ok to have great things happen in your life and it is ok to talk about those things. Embrace the good things that happen and the work that it took to get the good things to happen. Then, focus on more good things, and make them happen. The vision is only achieved through the action.

Last week, our old friend Sandra was joined by new friends Carolyn and John. Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week?

You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission or anything. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

  1. i went to SOBcon, saw lots of people i already had met, am thinking closely about several things, and how have seen you!

  2. Jon, I’m so glad you went, even though you had to translate a lot of the business talk into your kind of business. And it was terrific to finally meet in person. Here’s to many chance to see each other in the future!

  3. A couple things to crow about: First, I’m really proud of my associates over at GNMParents.com scoring a new ad deal.

Second, I’m also real proud that my client Jimmy Moore was interviewed at the today!

Best luck on the house sale, pokerplasm!

Have a great weekend, Becky – you’re the best!

  4. Kevin, big congrats to the GNM Parents crew! Scoring ad partners IS a big deal!

And more congratulations on that interview to Jimmy! The Twin Peas site is offering some very important support for people.

And, thanks, Kevin! Glad you dropped in today. :)

  5. You know what? This is the lamest brag I will possibly ever post. But in the interest of encouraging other people to recognize small victories…

I finally cleaned (most of) my bedroom!!!

  6. Well, the inevitable finally happened. This past Thursday, I was laid off from my full-time job. No, no, don’t feel bad for me — I am very excited about this, as I am now able to focus 100% of my attention into my freelance web design/development business that I’ve been slowly building for several months now.

Sure, I’m a little nervous about income, paying bills, etc., but fear is the mind killer (to quote a line from Frank Herbert’s “Dune”), and failure is not an option (to quote my former boss).

So – there’s my brag: I’m open for business! :-)
