Lucky 13 Brag Basket
The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one July 13-15, 2012. For Friday the 13th, we’re having a lucky Brag Basket. Leave a brag, grab some luck! Have some good news this week? Put it in the Brag Basket.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.
What can you do in the Brag Basket?
- introduce yourself
- share some great news from this week
- congratulate a friend
- laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
- applaud for each other
Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

Love your blog! We opened up Second Chance Store (www.secondchancecanton.com) about 8 weeks ago in what we consider a small town. It’s about 30,000 but right before you get to the North Georgia mountains so there is still very much a small town vibe and we love it.
Business has been good, we started turning a profit our first week and haven’t looked back. Every week word spreads and we have been blown away by how the community has embraced us.

It’s nice to see a silver lining. I lost a major contract this week but then heard back from the client, “We all realize how talented you are,” after they came back and said they wanted to extend the contract for another month.
Paul, that’s great for them to recognize your value! And whether or not they extend further, ask them for a written testimonial! You never know where it might be useful.
